History

The American Business Group, brainchild of the late Hector Pernetti, President of Bolliger International Removals, began meeting for monthly lunches in 1980/81.Originally the group consisted exclusively of male executives from the American business community. The first female executive invited to join was Barbara Cocchini in 1988 when the group opened its doors to women and non-Americans. For eight years after the demise of Hector Pernetti Dobson Law Offices provided support, entertainment and leadership of the group. After a two year hiatus ending in November 2000, Barbara Cocchini owner of CORE Cocchini Relocation S.r.L., relaunched and led the activities.Today, as always, the group is maintained by the good will and support of its committee members and company sponsors. The group is open to anyone with interest or involved in North American business.

The group is not registered and has no membership fees other than the cost of lunch.
